The Forgotten Realms

Encapsulated in a crystal sphere within a swirling chaos there is a system of eight planets orbiting a central sun. The third planet of this system is named Abeir-toril (Ah-BEER Tor-RILL), also known asToril. The name means "Cradle of Life".
One of the continents that exist on Toril, is Faerūn! (Fay-ROON), part of the Forgotten Realms.

Faerūn is the most northern continent of Toril and inhabits several races, such as: dwarves, elves, gnomes, halflings, orcs and humans.

Faerûn

The games that are supported by The Inn take all place on the westcoast of Faerūn. This majority of this coast is also known as the Swordcoast. In the northern part of the Swordcoast, lies the Frozen far, of which the region known as Icewind Dale is a part.

And of a bit more common interest, check out the time and datehandling in the Dale.
